Over 110 guests were entertained at the elegant W Hotel in Kowloon. Guests included included top investment management firms, prominent sell-side equity analysts, IR directors, IR professionals and C-suite management from Asia's major corporations and financial institutions. It was a lively night of celebration and valuable networking opportunities with guests from Malaysia, Singapore, India, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Hong Kong. Guests were also treated to an entertaining quiz before the awards began.

The awards ceremony celebrated the success of the winners of the 2024 Asia (ex-Japan) Research (released May 24) which reflected the independent feedback of 4,818 portfolio managers and analysts at over 1,200 institutions. Extel also recognized the top-ranked local firms and analysts within each of the 12 Asia-Pacific Countries/Regions (including Frontier Markets). The results reflected the independent feedback of 1,957 portfolio managers and analysts at 702 institutions.

The event also celebrated companies that ranked at the top of the 2024 Asia (ex-Japan) Executive Team survey for corporate leadership and investor relations expertise, as determined by the buy-side and sell-side analyst community. A total of 5,894 investors, portfolio managers and analysts from 1,388 voter firms participated in this survey, nominating a total of 1,669 companies and 2,595 individuals across 18 sectors. This included 4,943 buy-side professionals from 1,232 buy-side companies with an estimated $2 trillion in Asia (ex-Japan) equities and 951 sell-side analysts from 156 companies.

138 companies attained a published position in the survey revealing the region's best CEOs, CFOs, Investor Relations Officers, Investor Relations programs, ESG and company board attributes that best uphold corporate governance standards and facilitate investment into their company, to become an Honored company. 55 of those companies were granted the coveted Most Honored Company recognition.
