An evening of celebration! Over 200 guests attended the eagerly anticipated 2024 Europe & Emerging EMEA Equities Awards event on the 19^th of September, celebrating the best of the buy side, sell side, executives and IR teams across the regions, expertly hosted by broadcaster and emcee James Faulkner, LSE, who matched the show with his energy.

The awards event followed our official launch party for our new brand Extel – an exciting time to showcase our new visual identity as well as emphasise our commitment to delivering cutting-edge data and insights to our clients, recognizing the best performers in the industry and empowering strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

Guests included top investment management firms, prominent sell-side equity analysts, IR directors, IR professionals and C-suite management from Europe’s major corporations and financial institutions. It was a lively night of celebration and valuable networking opportunities.
The awards ceremony celebrated the success of the winners of the 2024 Developed Europe and Emerging EMEA Research (released 4^th September) which reflected the independent feedback of 5,621 portfolio managers and analysts at over 1,860 institutions. Extel also recognized the top-ranked local firms and analysts within each of the 11 European markets, as well as UK SMID. The total number of votes increased from last year by 6.5%. 188 firms have submitted centralized or coordinated votes, underscoring the robust nature of the results as an accurate reflection of market sentiment.



The event also celebrated companies that ranked at the top of the 2024 Developed Europe and Emerging EMEA Executive Team survey for corporate leadership and investor relations expertise, as determined by the buy-side and sell-side analyst community. This year saw 2,702 CEOs, CFOs, and IROs from 1,338 nominated companies receiving votes in the surveys. Combined voters saw 2,170 voters from 1,068 voting companies. The number of votes increased by almost 10% since 2023 for the Developed Europe survey and 25% for the Emerging EMEA survey.
1,006 companies and 2,206 individuals were nominated across 31 sectors across Europe, revealing the region's best CEOs, CFOs, Investor Relations Officers, Investor Relations programs, ESG and company board attributes that best uphold corporate governance standards and facilitate investment into their company.
