The stars of sell-side, buy-side and corporates were out in force for Extel’s inaugural Latin America Equities Awards.

Distance proved no obstacle for the 100+ guests, many of whom traveled from South America to be in New York. Based on a successful formula of the All-America Equities Awards, the glittering evening honored the region’s top executives. CNBC’s Bertha Coombs skillfully hosted the evening and guided guests through an excellent music quiz before the proceedings began in the lavish Park Hyatt hotel.
Extel’s Ursula Kizy, Director (Americas) said, “I’m thrilled with how the awards night was received. We’ve always had requests from companies in the region to hold an awards event but even so, there’s more than a little trepidation with the first one. I’m so grateful for the support from the companies that came to help make it a success—I’m already being asked about the date of the next one”.


Attending honored companies included Arca Continental, Banco de Credito del Peru (Credicorp), Grupo Financiero Banorte, Itau Unibanco Holding, JBS, Corp. Inmobiliaria Vesta, Nu Holdings and Suzano.

Winners were based on the results of the 2024 Brazil and 2024 Latin America Research Providers surveys and the 2024 Latin America Executive Team survey.
