This two-way street relies on extensive knowledge and transparency so investors can deliver investment performance, and a familiar group of names is getting it right, according to Extel’s annual survey.

Capital Group, Fidelity Management & Research and GIC are recognized in the Top 3 of Extel’s second annual ranking of asset managers by investor relations officers at Asian publicly traded companies.

Rounding out the Top 10 are (listed alphabetically): BlackRock Investment Management, FIL Ltd, JP Morgan Asset Management, Point72 Asset Management, Schroder Investment Management, T Rowe Price and Wellington Management.

Methodology summary

The buy-side rankings are based on Asian corporate (IRO) input collected in our Corporate Insights survey. 363 buy-side firms were nominated and 155 corporates voted. In this survey, we asked investor relations officers to identify best asset management firms across the following attributes:

· Transparency on their Investment Style
· Knowledge of Your Sector
· Best Active Engagement to Support & Encourage Long-term Business
· Efficient Engagement Across Funds
· Ongoing Feedback

Results were aggregated to produce overall and category level results.
