A group of domestic firms are have been recognized by the Extel’s 2026 Brazil Local Broker results based on responses from more than 714 investment professionals at 440 institutions.

To create the Local Broker results, Brazil research is aggregated with Brazil sales, corporate access, and trading & execution to create the overall Best Overall Brazil Local Broker results.

"This year has been particularly challenging for investors in Brazil, with both country-specific and external factors driving market movements,” observed Adam Cherry, global head of Institutional Equity Sales at Itaú BBA. “Our Sales Team, based across Europe, São Paulo, and New York, operates as a cohesive unit, leveraging our collective local expertise to deliver unique, value-added insights to clients globally."

This local expertise was well received: Itaú BBA topped the country sales leaderboard followed by BTG Pactual in second. Bradesco BBI took third. Santander and XP Investimentos placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

Driven by its upcoming presidential election, attractive valuation levels, and renewed foreign investor interest, Brazil has remained in the spotlight over the past year, according to the region’s top sell-side firms.
