To create the Local Broker results, country/region research is aggregated with country sales, corporate access, and trading & execution to create the overall Best Overall Local Broker results for the following areas: Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and North Andean Countries.
Brazil Local Broker results will be published separately.
The individuals surveyed are kept confidential to ensure continuing cooperation. Voters must meet eligibility requirements, and winners must achieve a minimum vote count.

BTG is the top local broker in Latin America, according to Extel’s annual ranking.
The domestic firm with deep ties to the region earned first places positions in Argentina,
Brazil, Chile, Mexico and the North Andean Countries in Extel’s 2026 Latin America Local Broker results.
In the overall leaderboard, Itaú BBA—which tied for first place in the Latin America equity research team survey—took second place followed by J.P. Morgan in third. Bradesco BBI placed fourth, and BofA Securities rounded out the top five.
