Over 1,200 voters at more than 580 buy-side firms rated sell-side firms (on a scale of 1 – 5, with 5 = excellent) for their sales coverage of specific countries. A numerical score was produced by weighting each vote based on both the respondent’s Asia (ex-Japan/ANZ) equity commissions and their average rating.
The same scores were weighted by each voting firm’s Asian (ex-Japan/ANZ) equity assets under management to produce the AUM-weighted rankings. The country scores were aggregated to produce the top 10 Overall Sales ranking.

This year’s results mirrored last year: J.P. Morgan defended the crown and was voted No. 1 in this year’s survey, and Morgan Stanley repeated its second place. UBS maintained third, and BofA Securities held steady in fourth. Citi rounded out the top five.
